Aquacel Ag+ Extra Dressing 

​It is an antimicrobial primary dressing for use in wounds that are infected or at risk of infection. They are  designed to manage the 3 key local barriers to healing - exudate, infection and biofilm.

Soft, sterile, non-woven dressing made from two layers of sodium carboxymethylcellulose impregnated with 1.2% ionic silver, enhanced by ethylenediaminetetra-acetic acid di-sodium salt (EDTA) and benzethonium chloride (BeCl), and strengthened by regenerated cellulose fiber. 

It absorbs high amounts of wound fluid and bacteria and creates a soft, cohesive gel that intimately conforms to the wound surface, maintains a moist environment and aids in the removal of non-viable tissue from the wound. The dressing itself also provides an antimicrobial barrier to protect the wound bed.
