C-Bona Closed Suction Systems (Adult)

The closed suction system is used with patients who are mechanically ventilated and have an endotracheal or tracheotomy tube in place. The advantage of the closed method of suctioning is that it doesn't require disconnecting the ventilator or oxygen source from the artificial airway when patient needs to be suctioned. This reduces the risks of infection and oxygen desaturation.
